Female Muscle

Hennie will help females build the muscle they want

Who said the world of bodybuilding is the domain of men only? More and more women are getting involved in this sport and while it may be harder for women to build muscle, they show as much determination and motivation as their male counterparts. Due to innate physiological changes between the male and female body, some women may find it harder to build muscle than it would take men.

One of the cornerstones of building muscle is testosterone, and while everyone has this hormone, women have it in much lower quantities than men. Also, the fat percentage and distribution in women’s bodies differ to that of men. A normal percentage of fat for a female is around 20%, but for competition in bodybuilding it needs to be much lower. Fat distribution in the female body is also mainly around the hips and thighs whereas men’s is in their abdomen. The body metabolises fat from the abdomen much easier than from other parts of the body, so this poses another problem to building female muscle.

Training Schedule

Throughout my bodybuilding career I would say a big challenge for me was to prove that conditioning rules and not size.

I train 5 to 6 days per week. I prefer to train 1 muscle group per day and I totally exhaust that group with 4 - 5 exercises.
